Crocodile Tears sent us two bandana's and a tee-shirt for review in this column, and I must say our thoughts on all three are very positive.
The tee-shirt we received was very cute. The fit was wonderful, and despite not being one of his better colours, it looked great. My one complaint would have to be with the cut of the underside. While this shirt is absolutely adorable it is not very functional. It has to be removed and replaced with a "boy cut" jacket lest you enjoy washing pee out of your babies clothes (I'm sure it would be fine for a little girl). However, I can assure you we will be ordering a couple of these cute shirts come summer. Nico loved wearing it, and it looked so sweet on him.
As with all sweaters, jackets, and shirts I was a little worried about Nico feeling the need to "hobble". Those of you who have seen your babies do this will know exactly what I'm talking about. Due to the cut of the leg bands in many clothes designed for furbabies the poor pup wearing the top is forced to do this strange, tipsy, staggering walk. We had no such problem with this shirt. It went on fairly easily, and Nico had no trouble walking. He wears it whenever he goes to visit his paternal grandparents now. *smiles*
The bandanas were even more wonderful. *grins*
Crocodile Tears makes two different styles of bandana's. One is your typical tie-on, and the other slides nicely onto your pups collar. Now, as Nico doesn't wear a collar (he wears a harness) we couldn't test out the one style, so.... We went to visit Nico's Auntie Dixie (my parents puppy).
The bandana slid on very easily and didn't hinder the clasp or the tags. And it looked oh so cute. Another bonus with this style is you know you won't loose it. Once it's on, it's on. *grins* That sucker isn't going anywhere unless you decide so. Dixie really likes her new bandana, and despite the material being very much a Halloween pattern she refuses to take it off. Needless to say, she will probably be getting a new Crocodile Tears bandana very soon.
A positive review is also on the way for their traditional bandana. They have tons of fabrics to choose from and they come in just about any size, from pip-squeek (or the even smaller ferret size) to monster. These are a great way to express the character of your little baby, and they just look so darn cute.
I have to be honest, so I'll admit it. Before seeing Nico in his bandana I thought the idea of dogs wearing bandana's was really ridiculous. I don't really know why. I guess I just always had this mental image of a junk-yard dog with some grungy rag around his neck. Well, I'm the first to admit when I am wrong, and I was in this instance. These are really sweet, and are a great way to dress up your baby when it's nice and warm out.
So... I guess that's about all I've got to say about that. Crocodile Tears Pet Fashions are definitely approved by this HuMom, and by her baby too. Their line of animal bandanas and tee-shirts are inexpensive, and look wonderful. Crocodile Tears has passed the Nico test with flying colours. *smiles*
